It's the ultimate cat lady. A cat embedded in her arm, she scratches the hairless pet with her long fingernails. She is clearly elderly and you can even see the veins and bruises in her skin. Her face is empty and her hair is whispy and thin. She is sitting in a seemingly empty room and her arm...cat... even has a tail.
This caught my attention at first because of lights and shadows: it stuck out because of it. The detail that has put into this is just amazing. From the crease in her big toe to the dust near the lightbulb, there's is much to look at. The more you look at it, the more you see. The anatomy is amazing, the body is very well done, and the creases and veins and bruises all stand out very well to make this piece unique. The fact that the cat is quite literally part of her arm is very original in my opinion. I haven't seen an idea like that before (and if I have, it would not have been executed this well). Even as I first look at it, I thought "well the background seems kind of empty", but as I look closer I see that there is a drain at the bottom of the picture and there's stains around it of what seem to be blood, leaving you wonder what this woman does... Another thing I really love is the hand on her cat arm: the anatomy of that is just disturbing, and it's wonderful. I could so see this in a horror movie!
